Regarding the Use of PVC Compounds

To meet the latest market and technology trends, Belden constantly refines its products to improve innovation and promote high quality. Due to this, we plan to ration the use of PVC compounds and make our cables completely free of Bisphenol A (BPA).

BPA is considered a REACH Regulation candidate and will probably be a substance of very high concern (SVHC), posing potential hazards to human and environmental safety. Bisphenol A is a co-stabilizer, and roughly 0.05% is added to the PVC compound. Belden plans to replace the BPA used in its PVC compound based on upcoming legislation.

This transition will take place within the next one to two years. Your products may be part of one or more aspects of this transition. Belden has done everything possible to ensure that performance and other technical aspects of our products will not be affected. As a result, product specifications will not change.
